I'm just curious if the 40Hour Film Fest was generated out of this initial suggestion. Is any MMI human in the know?

No. The Film Fest has been held for a few years now at MMI. This thread is to see if there is interest in doing something similar for the Digital Media Design and Production students.

I know this contest event was discussed in class a couple of times. Have there been any further developments? Do keep us posted. Thanks, Dave!

Josh Lenius and I are working on the details for this. We'll keep you posted.

The Digital Media and Design department is holding a design contest for all currently enrolled DMD students.

Details on what you'll be designing will be given at the start of the contest. You will have four hours of work time with an hour for a lunch provided by the DMD department.

All entries will be judged the followi...ng week and the winner will receive a Wacom Bamboo tablet to be announced Monday March 15th, 2010.

If you have your own laptop to work on, feel free to bring it. We will be working in room 113B unless we need more space.

Please RSVP before Friday March 5th, 2010 so we have an idea how much lunch to purchase.

I hope to see all current DMD students there.
